Silly Season for Blogland?

All these "x or y" games (choose any of my blogroll for samples), "polarities" as Marc Mulholland calls them, beg one question: can there be such a thing as "silly season" for blogs? Or is that a contradiction in terms, or perhaps just a tautology?

Yes...there are lots of silly-seasons in blog-land. I have been criticised by some (i.e. Marc at Daily Moiders) for being too serious.
